By accessing or using Voltcal ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Voltcal provides web-based electrical engineering calculation tools for professional use. The Service includes calculators, project management, PDF report generation, and related features as described on voltcal.com.
3. Professional Disclaimer — IMPORTANT
Voltcal calculations are provided as engineering guidance tools only. They are NOT a substitute for professional engineering judgment.
You agree that:
• All calculations must be reviewed by a qualified electrical engineer
• Results must be verified against applicable local codes and regulations
• Voltcal accepts no liability for errors in design, installation, or equipment selection based on results
• The authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements may differ from calculator outputs
• You are solely responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of any design using these tools
By using Voltcal, you confirm you are a qualified engineer or are working under the supervision of one.
4. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. You may not share account credentials with others except as permitted by your Team or Enterprise plan.
5. Subscription & Payment
Free Plan: Available to all users at no cost, subject to feature limitations described on our pricing page.
Paid Plans (Pro, Team, Enterprise): Billed monthly or annually. Payments processed by Stripe. Prices are in USD.
Cancellation: You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the billing period. No refunds for partial months.
Refunds: We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new Pro subscribers. Contact support@voltcal.com.
6. Intellectual Property
The Voltcal platform, calculation engines, source code, design, and content are the intellectual property of Voltcal and are protected by copyright. You may not reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the platform. Your calculation data and project content remain your property.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not use Voltcal to:
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract calculation algorithms
• Share account credentials with unauthorized users
• Use the API beyond documented rate limits
• Scrape or systematically download calculation results
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Voltcal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Voltcal from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or any design or installation decisions made using our calculations.
10. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email or website notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the jurisdiction where Voltcal is registered.
